Great to meet you!

I believe therapy begins with feeling safe, heard, and genuinely understood. I work to create a warm and supportive space where clients can be themselves without judgment and feel comfortable being honest about what they are experiencing. Building a trusting therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my work, and I believe that meaningful change happens when clients feel supported while also being gently challenged to move toward the life they want.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Metropolitan State College of Denver and my Master’s degree in Counseling from Regis University. I have worked in the mental health field since 2014, with experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults through a variety of personal and emotional challenges. My professional background has allowed me to work with individuals and families while developing individualized treatment approaches based on each client’s needs, strengths, and goals.

I specialize in trauma-informed care and work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and significant life transitions. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults and understand that each person’s experiences and needs are unique. I take a person-centered approach grounded in empathy, connection, and collaboration. I am trained in EMDR and may incorporate EMDR and other therapeutic approaches when appropriate to help clients process difficult experiences, build resilience, and create meaningful change.

Most importantly, I want my clients to know that they do not have to navigate difficult seasons alone. My goal is to meet you where you are, understand what matters to you, and work alongside you at a pace that feels supportive and manageable.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, person-centered, and collaborative. I believe you know yourself best, and my role is to create a safe and trusting space where you feel heard, understood, and supported. I take the time to understand your experiences, strengths, and goals so that our work together feels individualized to you rather than like a one-size-fits-all approach.

I believe the therapeutic relationship is an important part of healing. I strive to build genuine connections with my clients while offering support, encouragement, and, when appropriate, gentle challenges that can help create meaningful change. I also recognize that healing does not always happen in a straight line, and I work at a pace that feels manageable and supportive.

My goal is for you to leave therapy feeling not only supported, but also more confident in your ability to navigate life's challenges and create meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a comfortable, trusting relationship. We will talk about what brought you to therapy, what you are currently experiencing, and what you hope to gain from our work together. We’ll begin identifying your goals and discussing how I can best support you.

I want you to feel comfortable in the space, so please make yourself at home. Take off your shoes, get cozy with a blanket, or use a fidget if that helps you feel more relaxed. There is no expectation that you have everything figured out or know exactly what you want to work on. You can share as much or as little as feels comfortable.

My hope is that you leave your first session feeling heard, understood, and comfortable with the direction we can take together. Therapy is a collaborative process, and we will move at a pace that feels right for you.
