Need some help navigating past or current struggles, let me help. I have worked in a variety of setting and am currently focused on substance abuse. I have experience working with teenagers, young adults, adults, with a variety of MH concerns. Some include anxiety, depression, suicide, inmates, adjustments, relationships issues, borderline personality disorders, ADHD, and sexual offenders/sexual problems. I enjoy working with the Latino community and am bilingual . I am a licensed professional counselor, LPC, who is certified in DBT. I have been working in the Roanoke Valley since 2009, starting my career in counseling for adults with SMI. Through my experience and residencies, I have worked as a social worker at Child Protective Services, specializing in victims of domestic violence, serving as the president for the local DV committee.

I have worked in a variety of outpatient settings providing therapy for a variety of different symptoms and diagnoses. I currently work with folks who struggle with anxiety, depression, SMI, mood disorders, borderline personality disorder, suicidality, eating disorders, self-esteem, couples counseling, sexual issues, sex offenders, sexual deviant behaviors

I obtained my sex offender certification while working at a boys' group home and started to work with the sex offender population. I currently am a certified sex offender therapist and well as work with intimacy issues. I also conduct psychosexual evaluations, ASAM substance abuse evaluations, and level two evaluations

My approach to therapy

I am client centered and will meet my clients where they are at. I will provide a safe and non judgmental environment to help process concerns clients have in order to assist them with managing problems and coming up with solutions to life issues. I also provide DBT to client to help hold them accountable for behaviors they struggle changing and establish emotional regulation
