Great to meet you!
Life can change in an instant. Sometimes that change comes in the form of a crisis, a loss, a diagnosis, a relationship ending, or the realization that you can no longer continue carrying everything on your own. Other times, there is no single defining moment—just a growing feeling that something needs to change.
I am Jennifer, a Licensed Independent Social Worker, and much of my career has been spent supporting individuals and families during some of life's most difficult and uncertain moments. My professional experience spans outpatient therapy, pediatric oncology, inpatient psychiatry, psychiatric emergency services, emergency medicine, and child welfare. I have worked with people navigating trauma, mental health crises, grief, serious illness, loss, abuse, and significant life transitions. I have supported individuals and families when emotions were high, circumstances were complex, and the path forward was not always clear.
Those experiences have shaped both the clinician and person I am today. They have taught me that people are far more than the hardest thing that has ever happened to them—and that healing rarely follows a straight line. I have seen extraordinary resilience in people who initially believed they had none left, and meaningful change begin with something as simple, yet powerful, as finally feeling safe enough to be honest.
At my practice I bring the same professionalism, experience, and dedication that I have carried throughout my career. I also bring a genuine understanding of how much trust it takes to sit down and share the parts of your life that may feel painful, overwhelming, or difficult to explain.
You do not have to have the right words. You do not have to know exactly where to begin. And you do not have to have everything figured out.
You simply have to take the first step.
From there, we can begin—together.
