Great to meet you!

Jennifer Aldamuy, LMSW, is a dedicated licensed social worker with strong interpersonal skills and values her ability to adapt, learn, and take on new challenges in order to serve underrepresented individuals in her community. Her education and career are aligned with The House of Psalms 23 mission. She empowers individuals within their community to have the ability to advocate for their needs and life goals, through education, self-advocacy and maintaining physical and mental health. Jennifer is an Alumni of Syracuse University, earning both her Bachelor's and Master's in Social Work. She is also an Alumni of Onondaga Community College, where she earned her Associate in Science of Human Services and Humanities.

She has dedicated two years of community service in AmeriCorps enriching the communities of Buffalo and Syracuse, New York by providing education, community service, advocacy, and behavioral interventions, in order to increase their own awareness of their ability and capability to seek out their needs and services that would benefit improve their situations overall.

Jennifer continued to provide community support in her previous career as a case manager, where she was able to support families in navigating through mental and physical healthcare systems as well as the educational field. This was done by referring and linking them to community resources for both immediate and long-term support. Which aim to minimize emergency room visits, hospitalizations, and out-of-home placements. Jennifer currently is providing direct therapy and safety planning to individuals as they journey to improve their overall mental health during times of crisis.

My approach to therapy

As a therapist, I'm dedicated to help individuals, children and adults alike, navigate their paths of self-healing and self-discovery. I approach therapy with empathy, compassion, and a commitment to fostering a genuine connection. My methods are grounded in evidence-based practices, but I also believe in the power of human connection and understanding.

You don’t have to face your struggles alone. I invite you to take the courageous step of reaching out, allowing us to embark on this transformative journey. Together, we will explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, empowering you to gain insight and develop the tools needed. Let’s work toward healing, self-discovery, and a brighter future.
