Great to meet you!

My clients often say talking to me is more natural than they expected and closer to talking with a friend. I don’t see myself as a formal therapist many people think of, but rather as a support person who helps you find your own way. I offer my expertise, but provide it in a more real, non-intimidating way.

My approach to therapy

Often talking through a problem with a supportive, knowledgeable person helps people solve issues and figure out their goals. I tend to use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) strategies, such as reconsidering your perspective on a problem that keeps returning. We can easily get stuck in old patterns and not realize they’re not serving us anymore. I’m also known to assign homework, which my clients say really helps them put what we’re working on into practice.

What you can expect from me

My clients have told me many stories about how therapy has helped them. Sometimes it’s about being happier in day-to-day life. Other times it’s about improving relationships or overcoming lifelong communication problems. You can expect real strategies, focused on real problems, that will make a significant difference in your life going forward.
