What to Expect in Your First Appointment
Your first session is a comprehensive, supportive conversation focused on understanding you — not just your symptoms. The first appointment is generally 60 minutes.
We’ll review your current concerns, history, stressors, sleep patterns, and goals for treatment. For children and adolescents, parents or caregivers are involved in a developmentally appropriate way while ensuring the child’s voice is heard.
By the end of the visit, you can expect:
- A clearer understanding of what may be contributing to your symptoms
- Discussion of possible diagnoses (if appropriate)
- A collaborative treatment plan
- Clear next steps
My goal is for you to leave your first appointment feeling heard, informed, and hopeful about the path forward.
