Great to meet you!

I have over 20 years of experience in healthcare. My career began as a pharmacy technician, then as an emergency room nurse, and later supervising behavioral health units at Mercy St. Louis before becoming a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. This background allows me to understand mental health from both medical and psychiatric perspectives.

My approach to therapy

You are the expert on your life. My role is to listen, assess carefully, and work with you to create a thoughtful treatment plan. I do not believe in rushed visits or “one-size-fits-all” medication approaches.

For children and adolescents, I involve parents or caregivers in a developmentally appropriate way while still respecting the child’s voice.

Treatment may include:

  • Medication management (when appropriate)
  • Lifestyle and sleep optimization
  • Stress and emotional regulation strategies
  • Education about diagnosis and treatment options
  • Ongoing monitoring and adjustment

My goal is long-term stability, not just symptom suppression.

What you can expect from me

What to Expect in Your First Appointment

Your first session is a comprehensive, supportive conversation focused on understanding you — not just your symptoms. The first appointment is generally 60 minutes.

We’ll review your current concerns, history, stressors, sleep patterns, and goals for treatment. For children and adolescents, parents or caregivers are involved in a developmentally appropriate way while ensuring the child’s voice is heard.

By the end of the visit, you can expect:

  • A clearer understanding of what may be contributing to your symptoms
  • Discussion of possible diagnoses (if appropriate)
  • A collaborative treatment plan
  • Clear next steps

My goal is for you to leave your first appointment feeling heard, informed, and hopeful about the path forward.
