Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I've worked in the mental health field for more than 15 years, in acute inpatient psychiatric care and as a psychiatric liaison consultant, primarily in the emergency room setting with a focus on crisis intervention. Much of my earlier work focused on psychiatric assessment, crisis intervention, and helping individuals and families navigate some of their most difficult moments.

Today, I provide psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and therapy for individuals experiencing a range of mental health concerns. I believe good mental health care begins with feeling heard, respected, and understood. I strive to create a warm, judgment-free environment where you can be honest about what you are experiencing and what you would like to change.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative and practical. I bring my clinical experience and expertise to our work together, while recognizing that you are the expert on your own life. My goal is for you to feel supported, informed, and empowered to take an active role in your treatment.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for me to get to know you and understand what has brought you to treatment. We will talk about your current concerns, symptoms, psychiatric and medical history, medications, relationships, lifestyle, and your goals for care.

Meeting a new psychiatric provider can feel vulnerable, and you do not need to have everything figured out before we meet. I will ask questions, listen carefully, and help us begin putting the pieces together.

By the end of the visit, we will discuss my initial impressions, review possible treatment options, and collaborate on next steps. I want you to leave the appointment understanding both what our plan is and why we are choosing it.
