Great to meet you!

I believe therapy should be a place where you can feel understood, supported, and challenged in ways that help you move forward. My approach is warm, practical, and solution-focused. We may explore the experiences that have shaped you, but our work will also focus on what is happening in your life now and what can help you create meaningful, lasting change.

I have more than 10 years of clinical experience working with individuals and families across residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient settings. I earned my Master’s degree in Psychology from San Francisco University and have experience treating anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, relationship and family concerns, eating disorders, substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns, and significant life transitions.

My training includes Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Sand Tray, and Art Therapy, and I incorporate different approaches based on each client's needs. I also have a background in education and extensive experience working with adolescents and families.

Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck in patterns that no longer work for you, navigating difficult relationships, or simply ready for something in your life to change, my goal is to help you better understand yourself, develop practical tools, and create a path forward that feels realistic and meaningful to you.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, solution-focused, and individualized. I don't believe therapy should look exactly the same for everyone, so I draw from evidence-based approaches including DBT, ACT, cognitive and behavioral strategies, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care based on what will be most helpful for you.

While understanding the past can be an important part of therapy, I don't believe you have to stay there. We will look at how past experiences, relationships, beliefs, and patterns may be affecting you today while also focusing on what you can do differently moving forward.

I tend to be an active therapist. I will listen and provide a space where you can be honest without judgment, but I will also ask questions, help you identify patterns, offer different perspectives, teach practical skills, and help you turn insight into action. Therapy with me is not about telling you how to live your life. It is about helping you better understand yourself, recognize what is and isn't working, and build the skills and confidence to make changes that fit your life and your goals.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what brought you to therapy. You don't need to arrive knowing exactly what to say, where to start, or what your goals should be.

We'll talk about what has been happening in your life, what feels most difficult right now, what you would like to be different, and what you hope to gain from therapy. I'll also ask questions about your history, relationships, strengths, support system, and previous experiences with therapy so I can better understand the bigger picture.

Most importantly, the first session is also a chance for you to decide whether I feel like the right therapist for you. My goal is for you to leave with a clearer sense of where we can begin, what we can work toward together, and hopefully a little more hope that things don't have to stay exactly as they are.
