My approach to therapy

I am a holistic, integrative practitioner who provides empathic, supportive, non-judgmental, compassionate and collaborative care to individuals, couples, families, and groups from ethnically and culturally diverse backgrounds, sexual orientations, and gender identities. I believe wholeheartedly in the mind-body-spirit connection. I respect how much courage it takes to begin your healing journey and admire the dedication, determination, and motivation that is required to stay on the path to health and wellness. I am both honored and blessed to be a part of this journey with you.

What you can expect from me

Welcome! It takes courage to walk through these doors, especially if it is for the first time, so I would like to acknowledge and respectfully honor you as you embark on this healing journey. I recognize that it is not easy to be open, honest, and vulnerable, and to place your trust in someone that you do not know, especially when you are sharing your innermost thoughts and deepest feelings. I would like you to know that you are not alone. This is a safe space that you can come to each week to process whatever may be on your mind or in your heart. I will hold space for you and I will not judge you. I would like you to feel seen and heard because you are worthy. I will provide you with the empathy, validation, and emotional support you deserve. I will also help to guide and empower you as you identify and make the necessary changes that are consistent with your health and wellness goals. When you leave your first session I would like you leave feeling proud of yourself for having taken your first step, of many, in your healing journey! I hope you will have gained greater insight into yourself, your thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and your situation. I would like you to have a greater sense of clarity as to what your goals are and how to achieve them. Moreover, I hope you will feel more empowered to make whatever changes you deem necessary in order for you to live a happier and more fulfilling life; a life worth living. Finally, I would like you to leave feeling lighter, knowing that you are not alone, and feeling hopeful about the future...I am currently available for Telehealth sessions and am gratefully taking new patients. Please feel free to call me at (516) 992-6382 or email [email protected] for a free, 15-min confidential consultation or to schedule an appointment today. I will look forward to speaking with you!
