Great to meet you!

You may have spent years being the reliable one. The person others call first, the one who figures things out, keeps commitments, and pushes through even when you're running low.

On paper, things may look good. You've accomplished a lot, built a career, cared for others, and handled responsibilities that would overwhelm most people. Yet something still feels missing. You may find yourself constantly second-guessing, struggling to rest, feeling emotionally drained, or wondering when life started feeling more like a checklist than something you actually enjoy.

I'm Jennifer Brown, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Holistic Therapist. My work is rooted in the belief that healing isn't about becoming someone new; it's about creating enough space to hear yourself again. Drawing from Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic approaches, breathwork, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and polyvagal-informed practices, I help you better understand what's getting in the way of the life you want to experience.

Therapy offers a place where you don't have to manage anyone else's expectations. You get to show up exactly as you are.

My approach to therapy

I approach therapy with curiosity, honesty, and respect for the experiences that have shaped you.

We'll explore the stories you've learned about yourself, the roles you've taken on, and the ways you've adapted to navigate relationships, work, family, and life's challenges. Many of the strategies that once helped you succeed may now be leaving you feeling disconnected, resentful, exhausted, or stuck.

Our work together is collaborative and practical. Some sessions may focus on processing emotions and gaining insight. Others may involve learning skills, exploring different parts of yourself, practicing mindfulness, using breathwork, or developing new ways of responding to stress and uncertainty.

I don't believe therapy should feel like a lecture or a checklist. My goal is to create a space where you feel supported, challenged when needed, and empowered to make choices that align with the life you want for yourself.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is simply a conversation.

We'll talk about what led you to seek therapy, what feels most important right now, and what you hope will be different as a result of this work. You don't need to prepare a timeline of your life or know exactly where to start. We'll figure that out together.

As we talk, I'll be listening for both the challenges you're facing and the strengths that have helped you get this far. We'll begin identifying what may be contributing to your current struggles and discuss how therapy can support the changes you're hoping to make. I want you to leave feeling understood, not analyzed.
