Great to meet you!

I am a compassionate and knowledgeable, widely experienced psychiatric NP with over 25 years of experience, but I seek to keep learning about new information in the fields of health, wellness, and especially psychology and psychiatry. I believe it is an honor to learn about each person I work with, and partner with each individual to facilitate the development of peace of mind, healing, and growth with the use of multiple health-promoting modalities, including talk therapy, lifestyle interventions, and medication management to attain one's best mental and physical functioning. I specialize in working with adults, especially those who consider themselves to be highly sensitive. I further specialize in adults who may be struggling with anxiety, depressive illnesses, PTSD, attention deficit disorder, impulse control, as well as psychotic disorders, and those suffering from grief and loss. Life can be very challenging, and I hope to be a supportive health professional/partner promoting the best health and functioning possible for each person I am privileged to work with.

My approach to therapy

I seek to see and hear each person I work with. Everyone has their own individual story/ experience which influences every aspect of his/her lives. Improving your mental health or improving your brain health and the health of your mind will improve the functioning of your physical body and every aspect of your life. Shifting other aspects of your life can also help your brain health. I seek to help you evaluate aspects of your life that may be hindering your best mental and physical functioning, and consider interventions you may find helpful. Together, through the therapeutic process, we will explore thought patterns, behaviors, lifestyle choices, and interventions to heal and manage these.

What you can expect from me

You can take away knowing I care about your experiences and the effect these experiences are having on you now. I seek through our work together to be a therapeutic ally, someone promoting your highest good, your best level of functioning. Your best level of functioning can develop through the use of multiple different tools; including talk therapy, lifestyle interventions and the use of medications.
