Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Jennifer — Your Professional "Life-Untangler"

Let’s be honest: taking the first step toward therapy can feel a bit like showing up to a party where you don’t know anyone and you’re pretty sure you’re underdressed. I’m here to tell you: Come as you are. Whether you’re currently holding it all together with caffeine and sheer willpower, or you’re ready to finally unpack that "baggage" you’ve been dragging around since 2014, I’ve got you.

The "Official" Stuff

I hold a Master's in Behavioral Health Psychology from Carroll University. For the past 4 years, I’ve helped people navigate the messy, non-linear, and occasionally ridiculous parts of being human. I specialize in helping:

  • Expert over-thinkers (I see you).
  • High-achievers who are secretly running on fumes.
  • The "Carriers": Those navigating anxiety, sadness, loss, or the sheer exhaustion of caring for everyone but themselves.

How We’ll Work Together

  • For Individuals: If your current coping strategy is "ignore it until it explodes," we should talk. We’ll move you from "barely treading water" to actually enjoying the view.
  • For Couples — Note: I treat individuals here via insurance on Headway. For couples therapy, I offer self-pay options directly outside of insurance—reach out to discuss rates!

Want to know if we’ll click?

I’m a fan of bad jokes, overpriced lattes, and really old cats, dogs, horses, goats, chickens, etc. etc. If you’re looking for a therapist who is grounded, direct, and doesn’t use "clinical-speak" to describe your life, reach out and let’s get to work.

My approach to therapy

A QuickHeads-Up: My caseload is currently full, which means the "life-untangling" couch is temporarily booked up. I am operating strictly on a waitlist right now. If you want to grab a spot for future openings, please hit the contact button to reach out before trying to book a slot.

I’m not the kind of therapist who just nods and asks, "And how does that make you feel?" for 50 minutes. While I value empathy, I value your time more.

My approach is built on getting to the root of things and finding tools that actually work in the real world—not just in a textbook. We’ll likely laugh a little along the way, because healing doesn't always have to be solemn to be effective. Progress is the goal; perfection is a myth we’re going to debunk together.

What you can expect from me

The First Session: The "Big Picture" Deep Dive

Think of our first session as the "Discovery Phase." Unlike a typical therapy hour where we’re diving into the week’s stressors, this is a comprehensive intake evaluation. We’re going to zoom out and look at the whole map of your life. We’ll discuss where you’ve been, what’s currently heavy, and where you’d like to go. My goal is to create an environment that feels less like a clinical interrogation and more like a collaborative strategy session.

By the end of this first hour, we will:

  • Identify the "Real" Goals: We’ll move past "I just want to feel better" and get specific about what actual relief looks like for you (or your relationship).
  • Check the "Vibe": Therapy is a partnership. This session is our chance to see if my direct, pun-loving, no-nonsense approach feels like the right fit for your journey.
  • Map the Path: We’ll outline a roadmap for our future sessions so you leave knowing exactly how we plan to move you from "stuck" to "untangled."

Come as you are—coffee in hand, pajamas allowed, and no "perfect" answers required.
