Great to meet you!

Jennifer DiSomma is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the founder and clinical director of LIC Marriage and Family Therapy PLLC located in New York City specializing in working with couples, individuals, and families who are feeling 'stuck' and going through various life transitions.

Jennifer has a Master's Degree from Hofstra University in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Bachelor's Degree from Florida Institute of Technology in Psychology.

My approach to therapy

Jennifer's approach is rooted in the Gottman Method and Imago Therapy, as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

Jennifer helps her clients feel heard and understood by creating a safe and collaborative environment. She strives to create a safe space where her clients feel accepted without the fear of judgment.

Her goal is to restore and transform connections with the couples, individuals, and families she works with.

What you can expect from me

It is important that my clients feel supported and understood by their therapist. Many times people do not have a safe space to share such personal information, so it is a priority for me to create that type of environment for my clients. I see my role as meeting my clients where they are, in order to help empower them to where they would like to go next.
