Great to meet you!

Hello, I'm Jennifer Eastman, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I provide comprehensive care for the full spectrum of complex psychiatric conditions, including ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, OCD, personality disorders, PTSD and trauma, schizophrenia and psychosis disorders, substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, panic disorders, mood disorders, and bipolar conditions. My practice is dedicated to supporting individuals who need specialized expertise across multiple areas.

What sets my practice apart is my extensive experience with co-occurring conditions and complex presentations. Many patients come to me after struggling to find providers comfortable with their multifaceted needs. I understand that conditions like ADHD and autism often intersect with trauma, that personality patterns can develop alongside substance use, and that psychotic symptoms can complicate other diagnoses.

My approach combines evidence-based treatments with genuine empathy and respect for your unique journey. Whether you're seeking your first diagnosis, managing multiple conditions, or looking for someone who can see the bigger picture of your mental health, I bring the expertise and patience needed to address complexity without judgment.

I believe in collaborative care where your voice guides treatment decisions. Together, we'll work to understand your conditions, develop effective strategies, and build resilience. Real progress begins with feeling truly understood. I'm here to support you with clinical excellence and compassionate care every step of the way.

My approach to therapy

At the very core of my practice lies one belief: genuine, lasting recovery requires both clinical excellence and a real human connection. I bring careful diagnostic thinking, thorough medication knowledge, and evidence-based treatment planning to every appointment, while remaining fully present, leading with empathy and respect, and committing to know you as far more than just a diagnosis.

My work is guided by a philosophy of being truly present. Showing up fully for you is not just courteous; it is a genuine, heartfelt commitment. During our time together, my full attention belongs entirely to you. You are not a chart or a label. You are a whole person with a rich inner life, meaningful relationships, personal goals, and real struggles that deserve to be truly seen. Some of the most meaningful moments may arise through silence, unspoken emotions, or feelings that lie just beneath the surface of what we openly discuss.

My natural style is to offer choices rather than rigid instructions. I share my clinical thinking sincerely and openly, while always honoring your right to decide what is truly best for you. If you would rather try other approaches before considering medication, I will fully support that decision. If medication is the right step, we will walk through every option together, discuss the benefits and the risks, and build a plan you feel genuinely good about.

I believe in continual reassessment. What works well now may need to shift as your life changes, and I am committed to evolving alongside you every single step. I approach mental health broadly, recognizing that emotional well-being connects deeply to physical health, relationships, life circumstances, and your own sense of purpose. We will address these dimensions together, as one single complete picture, honoring the full complexity of who you truly are. Above all, I remain a steady, dependable presence you can count on through every stage of this journey.

What you can expect from me

From the very outset, my care rests on a firm, deep belief: durable healing genuinely calls for both clinical excellence and true human connection. I bring careful diagnostic skill, extensive medication knowledge, and research-grounded treatment planning to every visit, while showing up fully present, leading with compassion and dignity, and dedicating myself to seeing you as far more than a diagnosis.

Present, attentive care shapes all that we pursue as a team. While we're meeting, you have my complete and undivided focus. You are a whole person with a rich inner world, meaningful bonds, deeply held dreams, and real hardships that deserve to be fully recognized and sincerely honored. Some of the most powerful moments in our work will emerge through the quiet pauses, unspoken feelings, and the emotions sitting just below the surface of our exchange.

My way is consistently to offer possibilities rather than orders. I openly share my clinical viewpoint and explain my reasoning with full transparency, while genuinely respecting your complete right to decide what suits you. Should you prefer to explore other directions before weighing medication, I'll welcome that without hesitation. If medication turns out to be the right route, we'll carefully examine the choices together, weigh the benefits and risks candidly, and shape a plan you feel truly confident about.

I am committed to ongoing reassessment. What helps you now may need thoughtful adjustment as your life keeps moving forward, and I stay devoted to growing right alongside you. I view mental health holistically, understanding that emotional wellness is deeply woven together with physical health, relationships, everyday circumstances, and a genuine, sustaining sense of purpose.

Most of all, you'll leave our first appointment knowing that your own voice authentically counts, that it will always be heard, and that you have a steady partner fully invested in your healing.
