Great to meet you!

Hello, I'm Jennifer Eastman, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I provide comprehensive care for the full spectrum of complex psychiatric conditions, including ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, OCD, personality disorders, PTSD and trauma, schizophrenia and psychosis disorders, substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, panic disorders, mood disorders, and bipolar conditions. My practice is dedicated to supporting individuals who need specialized expertise across multiple areas.

What sets my practice apart is my extensive experience with co-occurring conditions and complex presentations. Many patients come to me after struggling to find providers comfortable with their multifaceted needs. I understand that conditions like ADHD and autism often intersect with trauma, that personality patterns can develop alongside substance use, and that psychotic symptoms can complicate other diagnoses.

My approach combines evidence-based treatments with genuine empathy and respect for your unique journey. Whether you're seeking your first diagnosis, managing multiple conditions, or looking for someone who can see the bigger picture of your mental health, I bring the expertise and patience needed to address complexity without judgment.

I believe in collaborative care where your voice guides treatment decisions. Together, we'll work to understand your conditions, develop effective strategies, and build resilience. Real progress begins with feeling truly understood. I'm here to support you with clinical excellence and compassionate care every step of the way.

My approach to therapy

One clear conviction anchors my practice: genuine, lasting recovery requires both clinical excellence and authentic human connection. I bring precise diagnostic reasoning, extensive medication expertise, and evidence-based treatment planning to every single visit, while remaining fully present, leading with genuine empathy and deep respect, and staying devoted to understanding you as far more than any diagnosis.

A deeply present approach to psychiatry shapes everything I do. Full engagement is not a courtesy—it is a steady, unwavering commitment. When we meet, my undivided attention is devoted entirely to you. You are never just a file or a label; you are a whole person with a unique inner world, meaningful relationships, personal aspirations, and real challenges that deserve genuine acknowledgment. Meaningful moments often emerge through quiet reflection, unspoken emotions, or feelings that exist just beneath the surface of our conversations.

My instinct is always to offer thoughtful, collaborative options rather than rigid directives. I share my clinical reasoning openly while deeply respecting your autonomy to decide what feels right for you. If you prefer exploring alternatives before considering medication, I will fully and wholeheartedly support that choice. If medication becomes appropriate, we will carefully review all options together, discuss benefits and risks clearly, and build a plan genuinely aligned with your goals and values.

I am committed to ongoing reassessment. What serves you well today may require adjustment as your life and circumstances evolve, and I remain devoted to adapting thoughtfully alongside you. I hold a deeply holistic view of mental health, recognizing that your emotional wellbeing is deeply connected to your physical health, meaningful relationships, life circumstances, and sense of purpose. Together, we will carefully address each of these essential dimensions of your overall well-being.

What you can expect from me

From the very start, my care is anchored in a central belief: lasting recovery requires both clinical excellence and genuine human connection. I bring sharp diagnostic skill, extensive medication knowledge, and evidence-informed treatment planning to every encounter, while staying fully present — leading with empathy and respect, and dedicating myself to understanding you as far more than a diagnosis.

What I call deeply present psychiatry shapes everything we explore together. When we are in session, you have my complete and undivided attention. You are a whole person with a rich inner world, meaningful relationships, heartfelt hopes, and real struggles that deserve to be fully recognized and sincerely honored. Some of the most impactful moments in our work will surface through quiet pauses, unspoken feelings, or the emotions resting just beneath the surface of our conversation.

My approach is always to present options rather than issue directives. I share my clinical perspective and explain my reasoning with total transparency, while genuinely respecting your right to determine what feels right for you. If you would prefer exploring other paths before considering medication, I will support that decision without hesitation. If medication turns out to be the appropriate direction, we will examine every option together, discuss benefits and drawbacks candidly, and create a plan you feel truly confident about.

I am devoted to ongoing reassessment. What serves you well today may need thoughtful refinement as your journey unfolds, and I am committed to evolving alongside you. I view mental health holistically, recognizing that emotional wellness is deeply tied to physical health, relationships, life circumstances, and personal purpose. Healing is not a destination we rush toward — it is a process we navigate with intention and care.

Most importantly, you will leave our first visit knowing that your voice genuinely matters.
