Great to meet you!

I'm Jennifer Ferrer, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in Florida, offering both in-person and telehealth therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. My practice spans a wide range of concerns — including bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, panic disorders, ADHD, anger management, eating disorders, alcohol and substance use, maternal mental health, chronic conditions, grief and bereavement, end-of-life issues, and family, relationship, and identity concerns. I'm also deeply committed to affirming care for LGBTQIA+ clients, including those navigating gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender identities. Whatever you're carrying, I meet every client with genuine care and cultural sensitivity.

My approach to therapy

I work through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). CBT helps us identify and shift the thought patterns driving distress across a wide range of conditions, while DBT offers a powerful set of skills — emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness — that are especially effective for clients managing intense emotions, self-destructive patterns, or borderline presentations. Together, these approaches give us both insight into what's driving your experience and practical tools to change it.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a welcoming, open conversation. I'll ask about what's brought you in, what you've been experiencing, and what you're hoping our work together will help you achieve. Whether you're coming in for yourself, for your child, or navigating something complex and hard to name, my goal is for you to leave that first session feeling genuinely understood and with a clear sense of what moving forward together might look like.
