Great to meet you!

I'm a seasoned counselor specializing in trauma therapy, complex PTSD, mood disorders, and anxiety disorders. I work with clients who are in need of not only space to explore past experiences, but who need to develop practical skills to handle what is happening in their present lives.

I received my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Denver. I have worked in a variety of settings prior to establishing my private practice including intensive outpatient therapy (IOP), in-home care, substance use disorder treatment, inpatient care, and individual counseling.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy has a foundation in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy - a style focused on building practical coping strategies to handle the way things are now while developing emotion regulation and social skills - but draws from a variety of methods. I believe counseling is most effective when it is collaborative and adapted to meet the needs of the individual. There is no one blueprint for healing and therapy should be reflective of that process.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will be focused on building a more complete picture of you - diagnoses are helpful for setting the frame, but personalizing your treatment starts with understanding how you got to where you are now and where you hope to be at the end of treatment. I will go over some of your history with you, discuss what is happening in your life right now, and begin creating a set of goals with you that will guide our therapy moving forward.
