Great to meet you!

Welcome to Franco Counseling. My name is Jennifer Franco, and I am the Owner and Founder of this practice. I know that reaching out for help can feel overwhelming, and my primary goal is to provide a safe, compassionate space where you can begin your healing journey.

I hold a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Westminster University and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Utah. Throughout my career, I have developed extensive experience working with children, as well as individuals navigating substance use, trauma, and abuse.

Whether you are recovering from trauma or seeking to break the cycle of abuse, I am here to support you with evidence-based, deeply empathetic care. Let's work together to help you find your footing and reclaim your story.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy is a team effort where you are the ultimate expert on your own life and experiences. My style is deeply client-centered, grounded in honesty, direct communication, and a shared sense of humor. Because healing from trauma and navigating deep-rooted attachment wounds requires a strong foundation of trust, I focus on creating a space where you feel completely in charge. We will work collaboratively to set your goals and tackle the challenges you are facing, ensuring you always feel heard, respected, and supported.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my priority is to understand your story and establish a solid foundation for our teamwork. We will complete a comprehensive intake, discuss your personal goals, and identify exactly where you would like to begin. I also use this time to lay out the ground rules for our sessions, explain what you can expect from me, and ensure all the logistics of meeting virtually are understood. Think of this first meeting as our collaborative starting point.
