Great to meet you!

Hello! I’m Jennifer Hoben, a dual board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health and Family Nurse Practitioner with 30 years of healthcare experience. My background includes serving as a U.S. Army Combat Medic, working as a paramedic, and caring for patients in nursing, psychiatry, urgent care, research, and education. I support adults ages 18–65 with concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood changes, trauma-related symptoms, grief, stress, burnout, sleep issues, and life transitions. My style is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative—I want you to feel heard, understood, and supported while we work together on a plan that fits you.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I take time to listen, understand what you are experiencing, and look at the whole picture—not just symptoms. Together, we create a care plan that may include medication management, brief supportive therapy, lifestyle considerations, lab work when appropriate, and referrals or resources that support your overall well-being. My goal is for you to feel heard, respected, and supported with care that is grounded in science and guided by compassion.

What you can expect from me

Your initial intake will be completed by our Licensed Mental Health Counselor, who will take time to understand your concerns, goals, history, and current needs. This first step helps us determine whether Solstice is the right fit for your care and whether our services can safely and effectively support you. If our services align with your needs, I will then meet with you for a psychiatric evaluation to better understand your symptoms, medical history, medications, and treatment goals. Together, we will discuss next steps, which may include medication management, brief supportive therapy, coping strategies, lab work if appropriate, referrals, or follow-up care.
