Great to meet you!

I am a licensed clinical social worker who has been practicing for over 25 years. After getting my Masters in Social Work in 2000, I spent many years working in medical social work, helping people who were living with chronic health conditions. I also have worked in hospice and am able to provide support with grief and loss, as well as emotional support for family caregivers. I offer a safe space to process difficult emotions, as well as stress reduction through mindfulness.

My approach to therapy

I use an integrative approach with each client and tailor sessions to what you need in that moment. I provide a warm, empathic, compassionate space for you to explore feelings and thoughts. I incorporate cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness techniques to help with anxiety, stress, or depression. I will walk alongside you as you continue your journey of healing.

What you can expect from me

My first session usually involves hearing your story and learning what your strengths are, as well as what your current challenges may be. We can discuss what your goals are and how we can work together to achieve them in future sessions. If it seems appropriate and you are interested, we may discuss "homework" (practicing new skills in between sessions). Since each person has individual needs, our sessions will be tailored so that you feel safe and empowered.
