Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor certified in EMDR with advanced training as well as trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS), informed, and trauma-informed EMDR. This is a focused space for reflection, processing, and meaningful change; best suited for those open to honest exploration and willing to engage in deep work.

My approach is insight-driven and focused on helping you identify patterns, understand underlying dynamics, and work through experiences that continue to affect you. I listen closely, track themes, and guide the conversation to explore what matters most. I integrate psychoeducation with evidence-based approaches when appropriate, including EMDR and IFS.

This work goes beyond surface-level conversation. It’s a thoughtful, engaged process, not a one-size-fits-all or quick-fix approach, and is best suited for those who are open, reflective, and willing to do the work.

My approach to therapy

My style is conversational, thoughtful, and engaged. I use humor when it fits, listen closely, including to what’s not being said, and focus on what matters most to you.

I don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach or tell you who you are. We explore together, working at a pace that feels right for you. I may pause, ask direct questions, or go deeper into something important, while respecting what you’re ready to work on.

I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches and blend them as needed. When helpful, I offer psychoeducation and practical resources to support growth between sessions, recognizing that life is busy.

The work is collaborative. Building trust is essential, both in the process and in each other, so you can feel supported, challenged when appropriate, and able to move forward in a way that aligns with your goals.

What you can expect from me

The first session focuses on understanding what’s been weighing on you, clarifying your goals, and identifying the patterns or obstacles that may be getting in the way.

We’ll explore relevant history at a pace that feels manageable, while also beginning to develop a clearer picture of what you want to be different.

I listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and guide the conversation to better understand your experiences and what will be most helpful moving forward.

This process helps begin shaping the direction of the work, including how I can best support you and which approaches may be most effective. You can expect a thoughtful, engaged conversation, and to leave with at least one meaningful takeaway, such as an insight, perspective, or next step.
