Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Benedictine University. I have been working in private practice for over 10 years, helping adolescents and adults navigate life’s challenges and create meaningful, lasting change.

My areas of specialization include trauma and couples counseling, and I have a particular passion for working with women. I understand that women often carry many different roles and responsibilities, and sometimes lose sight of their own needs in the process. I enjoy helping women work through anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, life transitions, and the many unexpected circumstances that can leave us feeling stuck or overwhelmed.

My approach to therapy

My approach to counseling is warm, supportive, honest, and occasionally humorous. I believe therapy doesn’t always have to feel heavy. Sometimes you need to cry, sometimes you need to laugh, and sometimes you need someone to gently point out that the thing you’ve been doing for 15 years probably isn’t working. I believe there is room for all of that in therapy.

I use a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, positive thinking, and behavior change strategies. Most importantly, I believe therapy should feel like a place where you can be completely yourself. A place without judgment and without having to pretend that everything is fine.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel a little intimidating. You may be wondering, “What am I supposed to talk about?” or “Is she going to sit there and analyze everything I say?” The good news is—you don’t have to have it all figured out before you walk through the door.

First things first—you don’t have to have your life figured out before you come to therapy. That’s what we’re here for!

Our first session is about getting to know each other, talking about what brought you in, and figuring out what you’d like to change. I’ll ask questions, listen, and probably learn a lot about you. And no, you don’t have to lie on a couch and tell me about your childhood...unless you want to!

I want therapy to feel comfortable, honest, and even fun at times. We’ll laugh when we can, get serious when we need to, and work together to make sense of whatever life has thrown your way.

Come as you are. No judgment, no perfect answers, and definitely no need to have it all together.
