Great to meet you!

I have lived in Alaska for 25 plus years and cannot think of a better place to call home. My professional experiences have included a wide range of clients over many settings and consider myself (through client feedback) to be well-rounded in how I approach therapy. I obtained my master's degree in mental health after years of experience working closely with therapists in treatment settings (both inpatient and outpatient) settings and knew exactly what I was getting into as a therapist!

My approach to therapy

My approach is eclectic (meaning I draw from a variety of sources) and will always seek to understand your unique situation and how you view your circumstances. I am very good at recognizing patterns in family dynamics, work situations and friend groups and how mental health is affected. My care is trauma informed and I understand how childhood and past trauma, in all its forms, affects the present. I will support you as you work toward integration for a better present and future. I want to make the most of every session for you and help you navigate life on your terms.

What you can expect from me

I will ask you to share, in your own words, what brings you to therapy. If you struggle to articulate, at first (after all, you do not know me, yet!), I will ask questions to help you share your experience. I am here to listen and support you to understand more about yourself; to offer you a judgment free zone to say the things you need to say! We all have our challenges in life, and no one is free from personal struggle.
