Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Jennifer, and you can call me Jen. I’m a queer, Latina Licensed Clinical Social Worker offering therapy in English and Spanish. I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in social work.

My background includes community mental health and medical social work, supporting adults, older adults, and families through health challenges, caregiving responsibilities, and life transitions. During my internships, I worked with transgender adolescents and their families, as well as at 211 and a suicide prevention line, supporting people through difficult moments and connecting them with resources.

As a queer, Latina therapist, I value creating an affirming space where your identity, culture, and lived experiences are respected. You deserve to feel heard and understood without having to hide parts of yourself.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, direct, and collaborative, grounded in your needs and strengths. I offer honest feedback with care and compassion, helping you feel supported while also encouraging growth. Together, we’ll explore what’s weighing on you and work toward meaningful changes at a pace that feels manageable. You don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out—we can start wherever you are.

What you can expect from me

The first session is about getting to know you—what brought you in, what’s been difficult, and what you’d like help with. You don’t need to prepare anything or know exactly where to start. I’ll ask questions to help guide the conversation, and you can share at your own pace.

I’m warm and easy to talk to, but I’m also direct. You can expect honesty, compassion, and space to be yourself. We’ll talk about what you’d like to work on and choose a starting point together. It’s also your chance to ask questions and see whether you feel comfortable working with me
