Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Jennifer Marino, Licensed Therapist with over 20 years of experience supporting children, teens, adults, and families through anxiety, ADHD, school challenges, life transitions, and relationship stress.

My background includes work in hospitals, school settings and private practice, which gives me a unique understanding of how emotional, academic, and family systems interact. I am trained in DBT-informed therapy, Family-Based Treatment (FBT), mindfulness, and crisis prevention.

Clients often tell me they appreciate my warm, down-to-earth style and my ability to quickly understand what’s really going on beneath the surface. My goal is to help you feel supported, understood, and equipped with practical tools that make daily life easier.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and solution-focused. I believe therapy should feel both supportive and productive — a place where you feel safe to talk openly while also gaining real strategies you can use between sessions. I integrate evidence-based approaches including: • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) • DBT-informed skills • Mindfulness-based strategies • Family systems work • Parent coaching and support I tailor treatment to each client’s needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all model. Whether we are working on anxiety, emotional regulation, ADHD challenges, parenting stress, or relationship concerns, we will move at a pace that feels comfortable while still making meaningful progress.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a relaxed, supportive conversation where we begin getting to know each other. My priority is helping you feel comfortable and heard — there is no pressure to share everything all at once.

During this session we will:

• Discuss what’s been bringing you to therapy

• Review your history and current concerns

• Identify initial goals for our work together

• Talk about what approaches may be most helpful

You’ll leave the first session with a clearer sense of direction and next steps. Many clients tell me they feel relief even after the first meeting because they finally have a space where someone truly understands.
