Great to meet you!

With over 20 years of experience, I have worked extensively with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families in both educational and clinical settings. My work focuses on helping thoughtful, motivated individuals navigate personal, professional, relational, and family challenges with greater clarity, resilience, and confidence.

I provide a collaborative, supportive, and insight-oriented therapeutic approach tailored to each client’s unique strengths and circumstances. Whether you are seeking help managing stress, anxiety, life transitions, relationship concerns, parenting challenges, or simply striving for greater balance and fulfillment, therapy can offer a valuable space for growth and self-understanding.

Many clients begin therapy without a fully defined sense of their goals, and that is entirely appropriate. Together, we will work to clarify your needs, identify meaningful objectives, and develop practical strategies to help you move toward the life you want for yourself personally and professionally.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is integrative, collaborative, and tailored to each client's developmental needs and goals. I utilize principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients better understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while identifying and challenging unhelpful thinking patterns, cognitive distortions, and irrational beliefs that may contribute to emotional distress or interfere with daily functioning.

With children and younger adolescents, I incorporate play therapy techniques to support emotional expression, communication, problem-solving, and the development of healthy coping skills in an age-appropriate and engaging manner.

For individuals struggling with organization, attention, motivation, or self-regulation, I develop structured behavioral interventions and practical strategies designed to strengthen executive functioning skills and improve functioning across home, school, and work environments.

I also work closely with parents through parent guidance and skills training, helping caregivers develop effective behavioral strategies, improve communication, and foster supportive, consistent environments that promote emotional and behavioral growth.

What you can expect from me

The initial session is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of your current concerns, emotional functioning, and overall mental health. During this first meeting, we will discuss the issues that have brought you to therapy, explore relevant personal, developmental, medical, educational, relational, and family history, and review any past experiences with treatment or support services.

The session also provides an opportunity to better understand your strengths, coping styles, and therapy goals, while beginning to establish a comfortable, collaborative therapeutic relationship.

This process helps guide the development of an individualized treatment approach tailored to your specific needs and circumstances.
