Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families in both school-based and clinical mental health settings. I currently work as a school social worker providing individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, behavioral support, and collaboration with families and outside providers. I also previously worked at an inpatient behavioral health hospital where I provided therapy and support across adolescent, women’s, men’s, and geriatric units.

My background has given me experience working with anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, behavioral concerns, life transitions, family stress, and crisis situations. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves and working toward meaningful change. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each individual’s unique needs and goals.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is client-centered, strengths-based, and collaborative. I believe therapy should be a safe and supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. I work closely with clients to identify their goals, build insight, and develop practical coping strategies that can be applied in everyday life.

I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, while also incorporating techniques from Solution-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based approaches, and trauma-informed care depending on the client's needs. I focus on helping clients strengthen emotional regulation, improve coping skills, build self-awareness, and develop healthier patterns of thinking and behavior.

I understand that every client’s experiences are different. I tailor treatment to meet each person where they are while fostering growth, resilience, and long-term emotional well-being.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment during their first session. My goal is to help clients feel comfortable while getting to know them, their experiences, and what brings them to therapy. We will discuss current concerns, personal history, strengths, goals, and any challenges they may be facing.

The first session is also an opportunity for clients to ask questions, share what they hope to gain from therapy, and begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship. I understand that starting therapy can feel intimidating, so I strive to create a calm and collaborative space where clients feel respected, supported, and heard.

Together, we will begin identifying goals and developing a plan that feels realistic, individualized, and meaningful to the client’s needs.
