As a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, I believe in making mental health a priority and that it is necessary for a stable and productive life. Specializing in adult psychiatry, my focus is on depression and anxiety, bipolar disorders and more. Reaching out for help is hard, but key to achieving mental health. Everyone’s story is unique, and so should their treatment. Through the use of therapy and psychopharmacology, mental wellness can be achieved and maintained. In a warm, welcoming, authentic environment, you are heard and can share without fear of being judged or misunderstood. Using Motivational Interviewing and/or Solution-Focused Behavior Therapy issues are addressed. Support and guidance are provided to address treatment decisions ensuring the best outcomes are attained.
My background and clinical experience in psychiatry includes caring for individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, and more. While I believe in the use of psychopharmacology, the addition of psychotherapy provides for optimal and holistic mental health. It is my belief that when both the psyche and soma – the mind and body – are treated, mental health and wellness is achieved and a relationship based in trust and compassionate care is ensured.
