Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Jen Palacios, a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. I work with individuals and couples who are navigating relationship challenges, emotional wounds, and life transitions. Many of the clients I support are working through patterns shaped by past relationships, family dynamics, or experiences of emotional abuse and are looking to better understand themselves and build healthier connections moving forward.

I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Touro University Worldwide and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Kean University. My work is influenced by systemic and relational therapy models, which means I look at how your experiences, relationships, and environment all shape the way you move through the world today.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in the belief that awareness can lead to meaningful change. I strive to create a space where clients feel safe exploring their experiences, understanding their patterns, and developing practical tools for healthier relationships with themselves and others.

Whether you’re navigating relationship stress, healing from difficult past experiences, or looking to better understand your needs and boundaries, my goal is to provide a supportive space where growth and clarity can unfold.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what has brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about what’s currently going on in your life, what challenges you’ve been facing, and what you hope might feel different as a result of our work together.

I approach the first session with curiosity and care. There’s no pressure to share everything all at once—this is simply the beginning of the conversation. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, heard, and understood.

Together, we’ll start identifying the patterns, experiences, or relationship dynamics that may be impacting you and begin discussing goals for therapy. By the end of the session, you’ll have a clearer sense of how I work and whether the space feels like a good fit for you moving forward.
