Jennifer Paulino

Hi, Luna Counseling Services was created to assist individuals with stressors that can be associated with addiction and co-occurring disorders. I am dually licensed in drug and alcohol counseling, in addition to my associate license in mental health. Throughout 5 years within my counseling career, I have worked with children as young as 5 years old to the adult age of 70 years old. I have also worked at different levels of care, such as residential and outpatient. I am aware of how the disease of addiction can hinder one's ability to function in the societal world. It would be my pleasure to guide you through life's obstacles.

I utilized CBT, solution-based theory, mindfulness theory, and exposure therapy. Erikson's life stages and Maslow's hierarchy needs are part of my approach to the client's well-being. The diagnosis that I have worked with include alcohol use disorder, cannabis use disorder, stimulant use disorder, and opioid use disorder. I am dedicated and focused on the client's development and well-being.

Within the first session, most of my clients tell me they feel like they have chatted with a friend. To me, that is the way it should be. I would encourage you to identify wants/needs and share the importance of therapy. I will share my background and answer any questions that will bring ease to building our therapeutic relationship.
