Great to meet you!

Hi! My name is Jennifer Romero-Vela and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) from California, working with clients statewide via telehealth. I specialize in working with young adults, new moms, and adults who are working through postpartum depression/anxiety, depression, anxiety, and stress. I use a Person-Centered approach and utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help my clients make progress and start feeling better.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy varies based on the needs of each client I work with, honoring where the client is at. I most frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and a person-centered approach as it helps me and the client build a shared understanding of their reality and allows us to work together toward their goals.

What you can expect from me

I work with my clients to explore what they would like to get out of therapy, working collaboratively to develop their goals. This often starts by building trust between us and getting comfortable with what it means to be in therapy. Throughout sessions, we discuss progress and direction of treatment.
