Jennifer Ruggeri

I am a board certified, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, from Salt Lake City, UT. My practice focuses primarily working with adults and providing care for clients who are struggling to overcome trauma, including the impacts of depression and anxiety.

My treatment approach is rooted in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, helping clients learn skills to cope with trauma. As well as Solution-Focused Therapy approach, by encouraging clients to focus to themselves and to possible solutions using strength based goals. In addition, Mindfulness Therapy by helping clients focus on learning to be more aware of their own thoughts, feelings, emotions, surroundings, and situations in order to improve their mental health.

My hope is that my clients walk away from sessions by discovering skills to help them improve coping strategies to respond to triggers, reminders and emotions associated with the traumatic event they experienced. As well as working on solution building by using and improving existing skills and strengths to help achieve therapy goals. In addition to mindfulness which has been shown to improve overall mental health conditions and daily functioning and quality of life.
