Great to meet you!

You may be a veteran struggling to adjust to civilian life, a first responder who can't stop replaying what you've witnessed, or a parent trying to hold your family together while quietly battling anxiety or depression. Maybe your moods feel unpredictable, you're relying on alcohol to get through difficult days, or you're a new mother feeling overwhelmed when everyone expects you to be happy. With over 15 years of experience helping people through mental health crises in emergency rooms, I understand how deeply these struggles can affect your relationships, sleep, and everyday life. As a Navy veteran who grew up with foster siblings, I have a special commitment to supporting veterans, first responders, and foster and adoptive families through challenges that others may not fully understand.

My approach to therapy

I believe your emotional health and physical well being are deeply connected, especially when stress, trauma, or depression begin affecting your sleep, energy, and daily routines. If you're lying awake with racing thoughts, struggling to manage your blood sugar while feeling overwhelmed, or turning to alcohol to quiet your mind, we'll look at what's keeping you stuck and identify realistic ways to feel better. Together, we'll explore how your thoughts, relationships, nutrition, movement, and sleep affect how you feel, while developing practical tools to calm your body and manage difficult emotions. My goal is to help you make meaningful changes that fit your life, without expecting you to change everything overnight.

What you can expect from me

You don't have to arrive with everything figured out or know exactly where to begin. Whether you're struggling with painful memories, feeling disconnected from your partner, experiencing overwhelming changes after having a baby, or simply exhausted from trying to keep yourself together, we'll start with what matters most to you. I'll take time to understand what you've been experiencing, how it's affecting your daily life, and what you've already tried to feel better. Together, we'll identify a few realistic goals and begin creating a plan that helps you feel more balanced, supported, and hopeful about what's ahead.
