Great to meet you!

I have over 10 years of experience in a wide variety of clinical settings since obtaining my Master's degree and becoming a licensed clinician. I use a client centered approach that draws from my training in cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, dialectical behavioral therapy, exposure and response prevention, and a trauma-informed approach. I have worked with people struggling with addictions, a wide variety of anxiety related difficulties, ADHD, depression, and some bodily focused repetitive behaviors. I also have experience working with couples to address relationship needs.

My approach to therapy

My main focus and goal is to help you accomplish your established goals through solution and strength focused methods that empower you and help develop healthier emotional regulation skills. I can often be silly or humorous when appropriate as a personal style, but I also do my best to find the approach that works the best for you. I do utilize between session activities and assignments often to help maximize your progress, but these are always discussed in session first and I work to adapt them towards your preferred learning style.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will mostly be about getting to know who you are as a person, establishing a rapport, as well as your history and what brought you to seek assistance at this time. We will discuss some of the overall goals that you would like to work towards and any barriers that made it difficult to accomplish them before. I will answer any questions you may have and also go over what I call "housekeeping" information. My goal is for you to leave our first session with a feeling that you have found the right fit for you!
