Great to meet you!

Welcome! I specialize in working with parents and health care professionals who are healing from difficult childhoods or experiences so they can be the parents, professionals, and community members they want to be. Like you, they want to stop stressing, feel less burned out, and find manageable ways to put their values into action. I have specialized training to help clients recover from complex traumatic experiences so they can feel authentic and chart a new course.

My approach to therapy

I use a trauma informed approach to counseling. This framework stresses being mindful of how people are affected by their experiences. So, you are never forced to talk about your experiences, and go at your own pace. As we work together, you will learn research backed tools and skills to manage reactions, emotions, and relationships. Clients tell me they like that sessions feel collaborative and that we explore their experiences from multiple perspectives including feminist and cultural lenses.

What you can expect from me

My clients struggle like you do. Despite being committed parents and professionals they often feel lost, overwhelmed, or burned out. They aren’t always the people they want to be. After working together, they realize that they can learn to calm their reactions and stay present in most moments. Together we explore how to connect with themselves and their communities. And, they tell me working with me helps them feel more effective and confident as parents and professionals.
