Great to meet you!
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and psychotherapist, I believe mental health is an essential component to a fulfilling life. After graduating from college and working in private sector business, I was completely unfulfilled and decided to pursue my Masters degree in Social Work. I knew I wanted to help people who were suffering with that same sense of dissatisfaction and lack of fulfillment. Grad school taught me so much but my field placements were where concepts and theory met real life. Fortunately, I was privileged to work in trauma and substance abuse, dual diagnosis, intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization early in my training. I went on to experience hospital social work in an oncology unit and in a private holistic center. During those early years, I also sought trauma informed training in direct client care. My practice helps people who are struggling with their mental health, identify and work through these problems head on. Gratefully, I had incredible professors, mentors and supervisors who helped me use my natural talents and shape how my practice exists today. It's perfectly natural to experience symptoms of anxiety, depression, post traumatic stress, etc. in your lifetime. I’ve been practicing for 24 years, and currently work with adults 18+. Adjustment disorders, anxiety, and depression are some of the biggest reasons my clients seek therapy. Trauma, grief and loss, self identity and lack of meaning are also a very large part of my practice.
