Great to meet you!

I strive to help children/teens become caring, loving, functional adults with a positive self-image and healthy emotional expression. In my work with adolescents, I help them to achieve life goals, build self-esteem, and healthy peer relationships. For adults with substance use I work with the client to find a path to sobriety by treating the underlying cause, using their inner strengths to support them

My approach to therapy

My style is direct, compassionate, and supportive. Therapy is a space just for you, and my role is to support you without judgment while we work through whatever brought you here. I believe healing happens in a collaborative relationship, where you feel heard, respected, and understood. We’ll move at your pace, and there’s no “right” or “wrong” way to show up in therapy.

I use practical, evidence-based tools while also making room for curiosity, compassion, and real-life challenges. I encourage questions and feedback, and I want this to feel like a space where you can be honest—even when things feel messy or confusing

What you can expect from me

During your intake session, I’ll spend time getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask questions about your current concerns, personal history, and any past experiences with counseling. This helps me gain a clearer picture of your needs and determine how I can best support you.

We’ll also review important information such as confidentiality, your rights as a client, and how therapy works. You’ll have space to ask questions, share what you’re hoping to get out of therapy, and discuss any goals you may already have. There is no pressure to share everything at once—we will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

By the end of the intake, we’ll begin identifying focus areas for treatment and discuss next steps, including frequency of sessions and possible therapeutic approaches.
