Great to meet you!

Something can happen years ago and still live in the present. I'm Jennifer, a licensed social worker with 16 years in community mental health. I work with trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and relationship issues across the lifespan: children, teens, adults, and seniors. If you're ready to set something down, I'm here for it.

My approach to therapy

My approach is direct and collaborative: we build it around what you need. EMDR is at the center of my trauma work. It changes how difficult memories are stored and felt, so they stop running the day without your permission. I also use CBT to examine automatic thoughts, ACT to create space around difficult feelings, and mindfulness when they fit. Most of the work happens between insight and habit: identifying what keeps you stuck, practicing something different, noticing what shifts. I bring 16 years of community mental health experience, including a decade supervising clinicians.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a conversation, not an intake form. I'll ask about what brought you in and what you'd like to feel different. You don't need a diagnosis or a clear explanation of the problem. By the end, you'll have a real sense of how I work and whether it feels right. Sessions are fully telehealth across Ohio, so there's no commute. Most clients leave the first session feeling lighter than when they started.
