Great to meet you!

My goal is to create a safe space where the superman cape, the mask, the facade that you've had to show the world can come down. That cape is really heavy.

I want to extend a special invitation to those in the helping professions: this is a safe place to discuss those crazy stories, and know you'll never feel judged or looked down on. As a former social worker, I can tell you I've seen my own share of the best and worst humanity has to offer. My dark sense of humor is a load-bearing structure.

My approach to therapy

My approach leans existential — not in the abstract, philosophical sense, but in the deeply human one. Life brings us uncertainty, contradiction, and pain. Instead of trying to combat every intrusive “what if” or every cruel “only,” we work together to sit with complexity — to hold space for the “both/and.” For hope, even in hopeless-feeling places.

Each session is a chance for you to show up as you are — no pretending, no performing. You get to bring what feels heaviest, say it out loud, and let it be seen. We’ll explore tools, perspective shifts, and ways of being that help you carry things differently. My hope is that you’ll leave each time feeling lighter than when you came in — even if just by a little.

What you can expect from me

  1. You will NEVER feel judged.
  2. You will feel heard and understood
  3. You have some new tools and strategies that you didn't have before.
  4. You walk away with something else to ask yourself, think about, etc. Therapy isn't a magic wand (but damn, I wish it was) for our pain and heartache, but it CAN help to have a new, kinder perspective to what you've been beating yourself up for.
