Great to meet you!

Hello. My name is Jennifer. I earned a Bachelor's in Psychology from California State University, Fullerton, and my Master's in Counseling, also from CSUF.

I have focused on my studies on childhood development, the use of popular culture in therapy, and the healing process of trauma and grief.

Stories have always been part of my life. When I am not in the office, I am a full-time nerd. I share this as I know firsthand the power of stories, popular culture, and our hobbies.

I play DnD, video games, and other tabletop games, and I am a fan of many fandoms on screen and in written form, reading fantasy novels. I also enjoy hiking, gardening, and spending time in nature, which can all be a great form of self-care and mindfulness.

My approach to therapy

I am here to help you find empowerment, growth, and healing and accomplish your goals as we use your passions to help re-author your own story. We can also work together in person or via teletherapy, and if you're a parent seeking help for your children, there are ways to work together online if that better fits your needs.

I have worked with children, teens, families, and adults with various issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transition, career changes, and self-worth. I also utilize animal assistant therapy, working with a retired service dog in sessions.

I collaborate with my clients and provide a safe, empathic space where they can reach their goals and navigate how their story is affecting their current journey. You do not have to navigate these chapters alone.

What you can expect from me

One of my goals for every session is for my clients to feel seen and heard, taking away new insights and coping skills and feeling more empowered in their lives one step at a time.
