Great to meet you!

I’ve been a therapist for over 13 years, and I work primarily with adults who are dealing with things like anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, chronic pain or illness, and big life changes. I also work with couples using the Gottman Method, especially when communication has broken down or you feel stuck in the same arguments.

I believe therapy should feel like a place where you can show up as you are; no pressure to have it all figured out. My goal is to help you make sense of what’s going on and move toward real, sustainable change.

My approach to therapy

I take a collaborative, non-judgmental approach to therapy, while also being direct and engaged. I believe therapy should be an active process, not a passive one. I’ll support you, challenge you when needed, and work with you to better understand patterns that aren’t working anymore.

don’t believe in lecturing or overwhelming clients with information. Instead, we focus on insight, practical tools, and real-world change, at a pace that feels supportive but still moves things forward.

What you can expect from me

The first session is mostly about getting to know you and understanding what’s been going on in your life. We’ll talk about what brought you in, what you’ve tried already, and some background that helps me see the full picture; things like relationships, family history, stressors, and supports.

There’s no pressure to share everything all at once. We go at your pace. By the end of the session, my goal is that you feel understood and that we have a clearer sense of where we’re headed. From there, we’ll work together to create a plan that you are comfortable with going forward. Please visit my website Serenityandbalancecounseling.com to have access to my accurate calendar.
