Great to meet you!

Hi, I am Jennifer Bachink. I have been a Licensed Mental Health Counselor for 31 years, supporting individuals and families through a wide range of emotional and life challenges. I became a counselor because I believe people deserve a safe, supportive space where they can feel heard, understood, and accepted. My professional background includes working with clients experiencing anxiety, ADHD, stress, depression, grief and bereavement, trauma, relationship concerns, family issues, life skills, and identity exploration.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is affirming, inquisitive, and collaborative. I use evidence-based treatment approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, and Trauma-Focused CBT. I work with clients who are navigating anxiety, stress, ADHD, grief, trauma, relationships, family dynamics, self-discovery, and personal growth.

What you can expect from me

I understand that starting therapy can feel overwhelming, so my goal is to help you feel comfortable, heard, and respected from the very beginning. We will talk about what brought you to therapy, what you are currently experiencing, and what you hope to gain from counseling. This may include discussing anxiety, stress, ADHD, grief, trauma, relationships, family concerns, identity exploration, or any life challenges you are navigating. We will also begin identifying goals and exploring what kind of support may feel most helpful for you.

My style is affirming, inquisitive, and collaborative. I may ask questions to better understand your experiences, patterns, strengths, and needs, but you will not be expected to share everything all at once. The first session is about creating a foundation of trust, understanding your concerns, and beginning to develop a plan that supports your healing, growth, and self-discovery. Book a session with me through my calendar.
