Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with over 30 years of nursing experience, including 9 years of specialized psychiatric practice. I hold a Master of Science in Mental Health Psychiatric Nursing from Stony Brook University and am also a certified Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist. I work with adults and older adults navigating a wide range of challenges — from anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder to grief, trauma, burnout, and life transitions. I am affirming and welcoming of LGBTQ+ individuals, first responders, and those managing chronic illness. My practice offers both medication management and psychotherapy, which can be provided together or separately based on what's right for you.

My approach to therapy

I believe that every person is unique, and that effective care must be tailored to the individual — not a one-size-fits-all approach. I draw on a range of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Above all, I am committed to creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where your story is heard and valued. My goal is to meet you where you are and support you in building the tools and insight you need to thrive.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a foundation of trust. I'll take time to listen to your story, understand what's brought you in, and learn about your goals for care. There's no pressure — this is a collaborative conversation, not an interrogation. Together, we'll start to explore what a personalized treatment plan might look like for you, whether that involves therapy, medication management, or a combination of both.
