Great to meet you!

Welcome! My name is Jennis Stopka. As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor for 20+ years, I've worked with a diverse population of clients in public mental health agencies and private practice settings. I'm especially pleased to be able to provide counseling to Spanish speaking clients. I enjoy working with individuals, families and couples. I'm especially skilled in working with children, adolescents and adults who have experienced trauma, depression, anxiety and/or mood disorders.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is to be a guiding light, supportive anchor, and a non-judgemental and encouraging presence. My hope is that we can walk the bumpy roads and climb the steep mountains together, so you don't have to do it alone.

With a client-centered approach, I work to meet you where you are in your life journey. I respectfully allow you to set the pace and goals you're most comfortable with in order to build trust, self-awareness, self-esteem and health coping strategies.

What you can expect from me

After each session we work together, my goal is that you will feel heard, understood and motivated to learn more about yourself with an open, kind and gentle spirit. After a session, most clients report feeling a sense of relief in knowing they're not alone. Clients often express feeling more confident and hopeful in managing and mastering the stressful and painful areas in their life. I want you to feel secure in your ability to grow and challenge yourself, knowing that you're not alone.
