Great to meet you!
I strongly believe in listening to the little as well as the big irritations that clients bring into session, because everything is connected, and you never know what piece of the puzzle really helps bring it together to create forward movement. With a Master's degree in clinical mental health and expressive arts therapies, licensure as a registered dance/movement therapist, certificates in somatic, and focusing oriented art therapies, I embrace a broad variety of research based techniques to bring my clients a rich selection of approaches to any given challenge. I have experience in working with a broad variety of clients ranging from age 2 to 99 years of age. My work with court appointed groups and teens in a group home taught me the value of creating safe spaces for people connect with others who have similar experiences which may not be easily seen on the surface. I truly love to work with people in individual as well as group settings, as I feel both approaches offer unique benefits to be explored. It is an honor to do this work and be a part of someone's life journey, even for a brief, but meaningful time. Relational dynamics, mood disorders, trauma, adjusting to life changes, grief, eating disorders, gender transitions, autism spectrum, and psychotic symptoms are some of the primary areas I work with.
My am sessions are booked on the hour and afternoons are booked on the half-hour. Please keep this in mind if you book directly on the calendar and understand that I may contact you to shift a session time so everyone can be seen. I book clients throughout the day and don't update my calendar until the evening. It is best to email or text me to confirm availability. Thank you for your understanding. This helps me maximize my time with clients in session as I am not logging on throughout the day. Thank you. I look forward to having the honor to work with you if you choose.
