Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Jenny Johnson and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) in Colorado Springs. I have been in the counseling field for 8 years, and I have worked with people who struggle with substance use problems, or who have loved ones that are struggling with substance use, people who battle with mental and emotional turmoil, and trauma survivors.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic style is client-centered, warm, nonjudgmental, and conversational. I like to meet my clients where they are and get to know who they are, so we can come up with a plan together to bring emotional relief and retreat. I believe in treating whole people: thoughts, beliefs, emotions, experiences, patterns, and behaviors, because I have seen the connection between all of these variables, and the power in identifying these connections.

What you can expect from me

I take the trust and responsibility of being a counselor very seriously; it is my daily intention and goal to treat my clients with respect, dignity, and empathetic understanding. From our first session, it is my intention to hear you, understand where you are coming from, and where you hope to go, and to begin building a strong therapeutic relationship so that we can work together to come up with a plan.
