Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Jenny Longmore, CMHC, a clinical mental health counselor with extensive experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through both everyday stressors and deeper challenges. I have specialized training in trauma-focused care, grief support, emotional regulation, relationship counseling, and I use EMDR as one of the primary modalities to help clients process painful experiences and regain internal stability. My therapeutic style is warm, grounded, and collaborative, integrating approaches such as EMDR, CBT, mindfulness, somatic awareness, and parts-work. I help clients navigate trauma, anxiety, grief, relational struggles, and major life transitions in a safe and supportive environment. My goal is to meet you where you are, honor your story, and help you move toward healing, empowerment, and a more aligned life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and focused on creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel understood. I believe healing happens through connection, curiosity, and moving at a pace that respects each person’s comfort and readiness. I work from a person-centered, attachment-focused lens and integrate modalities such as CBT, mindfulness, parts-work, somatic awareness, and EMDR to support trauma healing and emotional regulation. A large part of my work involves helping clients process painful experiences, reduce reactivity, and reconnect with a sense of safety within themselves and their relationships. Ultimately, my goal is to help you feel more whole, empowered, and aligned with the life you want to build.

What you can expect from me

In your first session with me, you can expect a calm, supportive environment where we focus on getting to know you, your story, and what brought you to therapy. We’ll explore your goals, your current challenges, and what you hope to gain from our work together, all at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I aim to create a space that feels safe, grounded, and free of judgment so you can share openly and honestly. By the end of the session, my goal is for you to feel heard, understood, and to have a clearer sense of the direction we’ll take moving forward.
