Great to meet you!

At the core of my psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) practice is a profound sense of respect and awe for how resilient we are as humans. Our capacity to endure the good, the bad, and the ugly that the universe throws our way, and our ability to come out the other side stronger, more confident, and more self-aware is the lived reward and heart of my care. As no stranger to having overcome my own life's trials and tribulations, I view my patients in their unique space with respect, curiosity, compassion, and hope. I feel honored for the opportunity to join and bear witness to your own journey of growth and wellness. I approach my psychiatric care from two decades of critical care work both as an EMT and RN, in hospital and in the field. Evidence based medicine is the cornerstone of my practice and I believe strongly in empowering my patients with both education and choice in their care. I am a proud Norwich University graduate and welcome all patients to my practice, particularly the LGBTQ+ community, first responders, and immigrants.

My approach to therapy

I offer fully customized medication support, psychotherapy, or a combination of the two. If we decide together that medication is indicated, I am mindful of working to find the right option for your unique needs and ensuring the lowest effective therapeutic dose. In therapy, I make space for both past and present processing while keeping future focused.

What you can expect from me

In our first session we'll spend 90 minutes together, completing a detailed intake which includes previous medical and psychiatric history, developmental and social history, and present-day lifestyle and symptoms. We'll discuss your goals of care (e.g. medication management, psychotherapy, or a combination) and the frequency and type of support you'd like to have. My care is very collaborative and never cookie cutter. This first session is for us to get to know each other and provide a strong foundation to our future work.
