Great to meet you!

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) dedicated to helping individuals navigate difficult experiences, work through emotional challenges, and build more fulfilling relationships. I have a special focus on maternity, postpartum, postpartum loss, and other experiences related to women's health, and I'm the author of a book on postpartum. I also work with individuals experiencing depression and anxiety. I believe therapy should be a place where you feel genuinely heard, accepted, and respected, not judged or told what you should do.

My approach is collaborative and strengths-based. I work with you to better understand the patterns, thoughts, and behaviors that may be getting in the way, while also recognizing the strengths you already bring with you. Together, we can explore what has been holding you back, develop healthier ways of coping, and find practical strategies that support meaningful change.

I enjoy working with individuals who are ready to better understand themselves, make changes, and feel more in control of their lives. Therapy takes effort, but you don't have to figure it all out on your own. We'll work through it together, at a pace that feels manageable and supportive.

My approach to therapy

I believe that people already have many of the strengths, abilities, and answers they need within themselves. Sometimes, though, emotions can become so overwhelming that it becomes difficult to access those strengths or see a clear way forward. My role is not to tell you how to live your life, but to help you slow things down, make sense of what you're experiencing, and reconnect with your ability to move forward.

My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and practical. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness to help you explore patterns, understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and develop strategies that fit your life. I bring this approach to experiences around maternity, postpartum, and postpartum loss, as well as to depression and anxiety. We'll focus on what is happening now, what you want to be different, and the steps that can help you get there.

I believe therapy should be a partnership. You are the expert on yourself, and I bring the clinical tools and perspective to help you navigate the parts that feel harder to work through on your own.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance for me to hear your story and get to know you beyond what may have brought you to therapy. I want to understand what life looks like for you right now, what's going well, what feels difficult, and what may be weighing on you. We'll also talk about what you want life to look like moving forward and what you hope to get from therapy.

Whether you're coming to me during pregnancy, after birth, following a loss, or for depression and anxiety, you don't need to come in with everything figured out or know exactly where to start. We'll take the time to sort through it together. My goal is for our first session to feel like the beginning of a conversation, not an evaluation.

Most importantly, therapy is a collaboration. We'll work together to identify what matters most to you, set goals that feel meaningful, and determine what approaches and strategies will be most helpful. You bring your experiences and expertise about yourself; I bring the clinical knowledge and tools to help you navigate them.
