I graduated from Iowa State University and have been providing mental health counseling since 2001. I previously worked in domestic violence and sexual assault programs. I have extensive experience working with teens/ young adults, LGBTQ+ populations, and abuse survivors.
I am a person-centered therapist, believing that individuals are the experts on their own lives and have the capacity to achieve personal growth. My approach to counseling is to provide a warm, non-judgmental, supportive environment for you to discuss the concerns you may be having and work toward self-determined solutions.
Our first appointment will involve getting to know each other, gathering background information, and discussing your goals for therapy.
