Great to meet you!

I have specialized training helping people struggling with substance use and other compulsive behavior difficulties as well as supporting their family members. I also specialize in working with LGBTQ individuals on issues related to identity and minority stress.

As a well-rounded generalist, I am able to be of help to people with range of challenges such as anxiety, depression, interpersonal and relationship difficulties, anger, and workplace problems.

My approach to therapy

  1. I am an active therapist who will ask questions and challenge you.
  2. I provide direct, honest feedback; I won’t dodge your questions without explanation.
  3. Humanness: No blank stares or awkward silences.
  4. Humor (but no knock-knock jokes).

What you can expect from me

You should leave our first session feeling understood and validated and have a clear (or clearer) understanding of what it is you would benefit from working on.

And, hopefully, you'll feel more at ease about the therapy process!
